Skin Tags

What are Skin Tags?

Skin tags are harmless lesions that are found especially on fold areas of the skin such as the neck, under the arms, and in other fold areas.  They are usually flesh colored and protrude on a stalk from the skin.  Occasionally they can become twisted and turn dark.  They can be a nuisance and can easily be removed in the office.  Insurance does not generally cover the removal of skin tags unless they have become painful, bled, or have other significant changes.
